Britain to get 4G mobile internet first
There has been talk about us Brits getting the super-fast 4G before anyone else - but will it be all that it's cracked up to be?
The idea is that the operators can 'flip a switch' on their mobile masts which will turn on the new network, allowing downloading speeds on mobile devices up to 10 times faster than 3G.
Everything Everywhere will be the ones who can make the most out of this as all the new Smartphones and Tablets released will not only have 3G, but 4G capabilities as standard.
Eventually 4G will be able to reach download speeds of up to 300mb per second, which is faster than the current fixed broadband people have in their homes.
I think the idea of having faster downloading speeds is a good idea, as I'm sure most people do not like waiting forever for pages to load however, will 4G live up to its expectations as hoped?
Will there be a massive rush for new releases to try out the new service or will the majority have to wait because of their lengthy contracts and will this mean that they feel left out?
